My yoke is easy - Mt. 11:28

Still, Lord, ill whispers holding me,

Take captive all my fears,

That I, content to lean on Thee,

Thus spend each age of years.

Give to me now your heart of trust,

Your willing Spirit's ways,

To be no more the host, the guest;

A child has come to stay.

For once I dreamed of conquests tall

And built my castles in the air;

Yet now my portion: least of all,

And that Thy name be fair.

And though I walk alone, I seek

To walk alone with Thee;

Thy gentle yoke no hindrance now

Though captive: cherished, free.

For, open as your instrument,

Lord, move me as your hand;

Teach me to love the Father's will,

As one with you I walk ... your friend.
