Heaven's

On earth I sought my treasure,

I gave it all my care,

In dust and in the ashes,

Made heaps for my despair.

The more I sought for fullness,

Found emptiness within;

About me, vain delusion,

Within was only sin.

But love is heaven's comfort

And faith is heaven's peace

And hope is heaven's treasure

Where earth and heaven meet;

And life is heaven's gladness

Full safe in heaven's fold,

And truth is heaven's pasture,

And love is heaven's gold.

Now may I seek Your heaven,

May I in Christ be found;

And may I be Your treasure,

And may Your love surround

And keep me in all sorrow

With faith for every cross,

And comfort by Your presence,

Be Thou my gain, through loss.

For love is heaven's comfort

And faith is heaven's peace

And hope is heaven's treasure

Where earth and heaven meet;

And life is heaven's gladness

Full safe in heaven's fold,

And truth is heaven's pasture,

And God is heaven's gold.
